Ποιος αρχέγονος πόνος ενώνει τους ανθρώπους? Ποιό κύτταρο κληρονομείται από γενιά σε γενιά καλά προφυλαγμένο και δυναμώνει? Πού κρύβεται ο ομαδικός πόνος? Πόσα δάκρυα τον τρέφουν καθημερινά και τον ζωντανέυουν? Του δίνουν μορφή και υπόσταση. Και τι είναι αυτό που κάνει τους ανθρώπους να απομονώνουν τους δυστυχείς? Να τραβιούνται μακριά τους. Λες και φοβούνται πως η δυστυχία είναι κολλητική. Είναι? Μπορεί._ Όταν ο πόνος γίνει σκιά σου ,σε ακολουθεί παντού. Γίνεστε αχώριστοι. Τον ταίζεις και τον καλοπιάνεις μέχρι να σου πάρει όλα όσα έχεις να του δώσεις. Τότε φεύγει και πάει αλλού να τραφεί. Μα σου έχει αφήσει το σημάδι του. Και στο δρόμο οι άνθρωποι παραμερίζουν για να σου κάνουν χώρο. Μην τύχει και τους ακουμπήσεις. Στην αρχή αυτό σε ενοχλεί. Και προσπαθείς να τους πλησιάσεις. Μα όταν σε κοιτάζουν με αποστροφή φεύγεις και πάς και κρύβεσαι. Και νιώθεις πως κάπως ετσι θα αισθάνονταν οι λεπροί σε άλλες εποχές. Αδικημένοι και ξεχασμένοι από Θεό και ανθρώπους.
